ATP CEO Receives Top Honor from National Association of Women Business Owners

BRISBANE, California, May 2007 - Caroline Daniels, Chairman and CEO, Aircraft Technical Publishers, will receive the Trailblazer award at the 23rd Annual Leaders & Legends luncheon on May 4, hosted by the San Francisco chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO®-SF). The award is given annually to a woman who has successfully led a business for 10+ years and serves as a role model for others.

Ms. Daniels started Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) in 1973 with her father Bill, a WWII Flying Tigers pilot, after he noticed that updates to aircraft maintenance publications were piling up in the hangars. Ms. Daniels was appointed Chairman and CEO in 1989, and has since taken the ATP library concept from microfiche to CD to desktop software and web delivery. She created the core business model of establishing licensing agreements with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), such as Cessna and Honeywell, for use of their manuals to provide a single-source solution for over 8,000 aircraft maintenance customers.

"It is wonderful to be recognized not just as a leader, but as someone whose risk taking has paved the way for other women entrepreneurs," says Daniels on winning the Trailblazer award.

Establishing a plan early on to accommodate these new rule transfers enabled us to immediately provide our customers with revisions reflecting these reclassifications."

ATP MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR® COMPLIANCE TRACKING SOFTWARE SATISFIES NEW RECORD-KEEPING CRITERIA OF FAR PART 43.10

May 14, 2002 - Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) announces that its ATP Maintenance Director® Software Suite facilitates compliance with the recently approved FAR Part 43.10 which requires record keeping of the current status of life limited parts. ATP Maintenance Director® is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use software suite that satisfies the criteria of the new part disposition rule by substantiating the part number, serial number, and current life status of a part either on or off an aircraft.

Developed by maintenance professionals for maintenance professionals, this highly effective and self-contained maintenance program is designed to help streamline the record-keeping process by making it much more productive and far less "painful."

"The additional requirement of tracking life-limited parts does not need to be a burden for the aviation maintenance professional, " said Bob Jones, Product Manager for ATP. "ATP Maintenance Director® is an easy-to-use productivity tool that can be customized to fit specific tracking needs. Plus, this tool also creates lifetime maintenance histories and can even track times/cycles to the part level from cradle to grave."

The upkeep of records that include such crucial information as total times on airframe, powerplant, propellers, rotors, or components, dates of inspections, Service Bulletin updates, AD compliance, and overhauls and/or replacements directly determines the safety, airworthiness and, ultimately, the value of each aircraft. ATP OFFERS AS3 ATTENDEES WAYS TO STREAMLINE REGULATORY RESEARCH

March 28, 2002 -- Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) offered the attendees of the AS3 Aviation Services and Suppliers Supershow in Indianapolis, Indiana (March 26-28) the opportunity to learn how to best save time and money while maintaining compliance.

In a technical seminar titled "Electronic Airworthiness Research," ATP's Central Regional Sales Manager, Ron O'Dea, addressed the critical nature of accurate and timely Airworthiness Directives (AD) and regulatory documentation retrieval. With ADs and a variety of other regulatory announcements being released almost daily, keeping up can be both time consuming and expensive without tapping into computer technology. O'Dea discussed how service centers could make efficient use of a unique and powerful tool, the ATP Navigator® System, in conducting research as they prepare to take on a repair or modification project.

Proven to reduce research time by over 40%, the ATP Navigator® System powers ATP's U.S. Aviation Regulatory Libraries on CD-ROM and DVD. Greatly simplifying and streamlining the steps needed to identify, search and print information and graphics, the ATP Navigator® System enables users to retrieve the most accurate and up-to-date information via a straightforward graphical user interface. O'Dea emphasized the importance of using the most accurate and current AD and service information when working on an aircraft, and demonstrated how ATP Navigator® System's user-friendly graphics and helpful links make it easy for anyone to store and retrieve information.

One of the most powerful features of the program is its ability to store specific aircraft profiles and to search against them. O'Dea explained how a user may customize these profiles to any level of detail - just the airframe, the airframe and powerplant, or a comprehensive list including the smallest components. Once a profile is established, searching against it will bring up all applicable ADs.

ATP DEMONSTRATES TO AS3 ATTENDEES THE BENEFITS OF ELECTRONIC COMPLIANCE TRACKING SOFTWARE

March 28, 2002 - Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) offered the attendees of the AS3 Aviation Services and Suppliers Supershow in Indianapolis, Indiana (March 26-28) the opportunity to learn how to make the most of electronic compliance tracking.

In a technical seminar titled "Electronic Record Keeping," ATP's Northeast Regional Sales Manager, Dale Forton, addressed the demands and critical nature of record-keeping. Tracking countless details coupled with the need for immediate record access can become an enormous challenge for operations of all sizes. Forton discussed how corporate operators and repair stations can save time and money by implementing the ATP Maintenance Director® system.

The ATP Maintenance Director® system is a sophisticated yet easy-to-use software suite for recording, tracking and forecasting maintenance events. Customizable to fit specific tracking needs, Maintenance Director® can create lifetime maintenance histories and even track times/cycles of engines and aircraft down to the part level from cradle to grave. Forton emphasized that the highly effective and self-contained maintenance program was "developed by maintenance professionals for maintenance professionals," and is therefore designed to help streamline the record-keeping process by making it much more productive and far less "painful."

The upkeep of records that include such crucial information as total times on airframe, powerplant, propellers or rotors, dates of inspections, Service Bulletin updates, AD compliance, and overhauls and/or replacements directly determines the safety, airworthiness and, ultimately, the value of each aircraft. By providing quick and easy ways to log, store, forecast and generate reports, ATP Maintenance Director® instantly supplies the information necessary to increase efficiency, ensure peace of mind, and maintain aircraft resell value. Plus, with the addition of ATP Maintenance Director® Schedules -- pre-made model-specific requirement lists for scheduled maintenance -- users save hours of research and eliminate the need to enter maintenance records by hand.

One of the most valuable services offered in conjunction with the ATP Maintenance Director® system is ATP's FastStart service, which saves hours of initial setup/input time. Forton explained how existing logbooks are "converted" to electronic records, enabling immediate use of ATP Maintenance Director® advanced functionality, including creating Due Lists even prior to the input of detailed histories or component profiles.

For more than 29 years, Aircraft Technical Publishers has been the general aviation industry's single-source leader for aviation maintenance, regulatory and compliance software products and services. ATP DEMONSTRATES WAYS TO STREAMLINE AD RESEARCH

MAY 2, 2001 - The ability to retrieve accurate, detailed information on a timely basis has become more and more critical to the bottom line success of aircraft maintenance facilities, large and small. With that in mind, Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) will sponsor a technical seminar on conducting "Electronic AD Research" at this year's Aviation Services and Suppliers Show in Long Beach, May 1-3.

Airworthiness Directives (AD) and a variety of other regulatory announcements are released almost daily, and keeping up can be not only be time consuming, but expensive without tapping into computer technology. ATP's Ron O'Dea discusses how service centers can make efficient use of a unique and powerful tool, ATP Navigator, in conducting research as they prepare to take on a repair or modification project.

Used hand-in-hand with ATP Aviation Regulatory libraries on CD-ROM , the patented Navigator software allows users to not only save time but be assured that the data they retrieve is the most up-to-date available. A new CD-ROM is available on a biweekly subscription to refresh and update the available content.

O'Dea emphasizes the importance of using the most accurate and current AD and service information when working on an aircraft, and will demonstrate how ATP Navigator lives up to its name with user-friendly graphics and links making it easy for anyone to store and retrieve information.

One of the most powerful features of the program, according to O'Dea, is its ability to store specific aircraft profiles and to search against them. A user is able to customize these profiles to be as complex or as simple as they want - just the airframe, the airframe and powerplant, or a comprehensive list including the smallest components. Once a profile is established, O'Dea explained, searching against it will bring up whatever ADs exist that apply.

For more than 25 years, ATP has been the aviation industryąs single source provider of maintenance regulatory information for propeller, jet and helicopter aircraft and related avionics, components and powerplants. ATP maintains over 16,000 microfiche, CD-ROM and Internet-based library subscriptions for a global consumer base that includes civil aviation authorities, maintenance facilities, Fixed Base Operators, aircraft operators, flight schools and universities.

ATP SUPPORTS DEBUT OF PAMA AVIATION MAINTENANCE OLYMPICS

May 1, 2001-- Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) is proud to be a charter sponsor of the first ever Maintenance Olympics designed by the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA). To promote the aviation maintenance industry, PAMA has developed a series of competitive events that allows aviation maintenance professionals to pit their skills not only against a tough standard, but against each other in head-to-head competition. PAMA previewed its Olympic-style competition at this year's AS3 Aviation Services and Suppliers Supershow, May 1-3, in Long Beach, California.

ATP created a challenging quiz to test participants' skill in performing aviation regulatory research. The quiz included five multiple choice and fill-in-the-blank questions that required an Olympian to use the ATP Regulatory Library to find specific answers relating to Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins. Competitors could choose to use either the ATP microfiche or software product as their research tool.

This year's event was "for fun" as attendees matched their skills with each other over the competitive course. Each event is judged on the basis of four requirements: speed, safety, quality of workmanship and economics. Each participant in this year's event received a prize, but competition will heat up in years to come. The ATP-supported preview was designed to build interest in the Olympics and send participants home to form teams to represent their shop, flight department, airline, school or PAMA chapter in the 2002 Maintenance Olympics that will be held in Indianapolis. In 2003, Charlotte, North Carolina, will host the second annual event as part of the 100th year of aviation celebration and teams are expected to come from around the world to take part.

An Olympic Hangar is set aside this year to introduce AS3 attendees to the event. For details on the Olympics, and the host association, visit the PAMA Web site: www.pama.org

What company better reflects the goals of this Olympic competition? ATP is proud to be a part of this first event, and will continue to support PAMA in its ongoing efforts to promote aviation safety by streamlining the job of the aviation maintenance technician. For more than 25 years, ATP has been the aviation industry's single source provider of maintenance and regulatory information for propeller, jet and helicopter aircraft and related avionics, components and powerplants. ATP maintains more than 16,000 microfiche, CD-ROM, DVD and internet-based library subscriptions for a global consumer base that includes civil aviation authorities, maintenance facilities, Fixed Based Operators, aircraft operators, flight schools and universities.

ATP RECOMMENDS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF ELECTRONIC RECORD-KEEPING TOOLS

MAY 2, 2001 - Record-keeping is a critical element of aircraft maintenance. It's also one of the biggest hassles - or at least it has been in the past. During this year's Aviation Services & Suppliers SuperShow and conference in Long Beach, California, Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) will share how the use of 21st Century computer technology can streamline the process and make it more productive and far less "painful."

Even with the most sophisticated systems, record-keeping is a demanding requirement of the job. Detail upon detail has to be recorded. And, you have to be able to retrieve this information on a moment's notice. Records must include such things as total times on airframe, powerplant, propellers or rotors; dates of inspections; Service Bulletin updates; AD compliance; overhauls and/or replacements.

These records all have a direct connection to the safety, airworthiness and value of each aircraft.

The biggest challenge facing repair stations and service centers, is finding ways to keep accurate records without spending hours on paperwork, while at the same time having all these records available to the staff in a format they can access quickly.

For more than 25 years, ATP has been the aviation industry's single source provider of maintenance regulatory information for propeller, jet and helicopter aircraft and related avionics, components and powerplants. The annual Cook-Off, sponsored by the Professional Aviation Maintenance Association (PAMA), requires sponsors to provide at least 15 gallons of their best chili for the event. Show attendees contribute donations for the privilege of tasting as many varieties as they dare, with the proceeds going to fund the foundation. PAMF, a nonprofit organization, is one of the industry's leaders in promoting careers in aviation maintenance.

The event includes plenty of food and drink to go with the chili, as well as music and good fellowship. ATP anticipates taking top honors with a special "rojo grande" pork chili recipe.

While the attendees are the real judges of which sponsors' chili ranks as "best in show," the participants are also judged by a panel of "specialists." The chili entrees can earn prizes such as Best, Hottest and Worst Tasting and Most Questionable Contents.

ATP RELEASES NEW, ENHANCED VERSION OF MAINTENANCE DIRECTOR

Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) released Version 3.0 of Maintenance Director today. By working in partnership with existing users, ATP has incorporated significant enhancements to Maintenance Director to further position the program as the most up-to-date and user-friendly aviation maintenance software on the market. Designed by aviation professionals and initially launched in 1996, Maintenance Director revolutionized maintenance management and solved an industry need by providing an organized, space-saving accompaniment to traditional status boards and paper logbooks.

To further expand the program's already robust ability to track avionics, powerplant and airframe parts, schedule maintenance and record compliance Airworthiness Directives and Service Bulletins directly into aircraft records, ATP now permits users to reduce key aircraft components into smaller modules. For example, users no longer need to manage a large component such as "engines" but can now subdivide into more manageable groupings like "compressor section", "fan disc" and "hub". Detailed oversight enhances component tracking and management.

Other new features include incorporating a one-click "Perform" button into the Due List. Clicking this button will automatically update all aircraft records after maintenance is performed. The Due List has also been revised so that by simply selecting the "Compact" check box on the Printer dialog box, more events per page will be printed. And, on the Enterprise versions of Maintenance Director, a maintenance worksheet/checklist can be selected and printed for the technician. The worksheet is a working document, which lists the aircraft and logbook with space for written comments and a sign-off signature.

ATP also offers a fast start service for any new or existing Maintenance Director user. Ideal for any maintenance center with limited internal resources and/or time restraints, FAA approved mechanics with Inspection Authorization (IA) on the ATP team will review copies of a user's maintenance records and enter the most current status into Maintenance Director. This turn-around service allows users to be up and running at optimum productivity as soon as the product is received.

For more than 25 years, ATP has been the aviation industry's single source provider of maintenance and regulatory information for propeller, jet and helicopter aircraft and related avionics, components and powerplants. ATP maintains over 16,000 microfiche, CD-ROM and internet-based library subscriptions for a global consumer base that includes civil aviation authorities, maintenance facilities, Fixed Based Operators, aircraft operators, flight schools and universities.

January 24, 2000--Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) has released a Bell 206 maintenance schedule data set designed for use with its popular Maintenance Director software. This schedule data set contains crucial maintenance information on all regular maintenance events for the Bell 206 rotorcraft.

"The Bell 206 schedule will save users hours of set-up time by automatically creating maintenance schedules that would otherwise have to be started from scratch," said Bob Jones, ATPs Maintenance Director Product Manager. "Users simply need to review the schedule and enter the last complied with time for the software to track upcoming events."

"We've received numerous requests for this Maintenance Director rotorcraft schedule so we're looking forward to releasing it at Heli-Expo 2000," Jones added.

ATP Maintenance Director (MD) is comprised of three different products - MD Planner, MD E*Log and MD Enterprise - effectively satisfying the needs of small to large-size operations. This powerful maintenance-forecasting software offers users complete control of aircraft maintenance requirements, tracks any type of aircraft and equipment, and is Year-2000-compliant.

MD Planner is designed for operators looking for powerful forecasting capabilities, but not historical record keeping functionality. This software can track configuration, current status and maintenance requirements for thousands of items on their aircraft while allowing users to easily update new compliance as well as move or replace parts and components.

MD E*Log takes the Maintenance Director Planner forecasting capability one step further by adding the full functionality of a maintenance logbook for tracking historical information.

ATP's MD Enterprise is more robust, specifically designed for larger operations with functions like multi-fleet planning and tracking.

Upgrades within the Maintenance Director product line maintain all existing configuration and part information, so users don't need to enter information a second time.

October 4, 1999--Owners, operators and maintenance providers of Mooney aircraft can now access maintenance libraries through convenient CD-ROM technology. Aircraft Technical Publishers (ATP) has introduced the Mooney CD-ROM version of its popular technical libraries for models M18, M22 and for series M20 aircraft.

The new line of CD libraries includes the Mooney Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, and Service Bulletins and Letters. Each Mooney Library also contains the Textron Lycoming and Porsche engine publications on CD-ROM and the Teledyne Continental engine publications on microfiche.

"Maintenance libraries on CD-ROM offer users the ability to quickly access and retrieve information that would otherwise require a significant amount of research using paper manuals," said Pat DeCambra, ATP's Vice President of Market Development. "CD-ROM subscriptions also reduce upkeep, equipment and space requirements for aviation departments because of the vast amount of information that can be stored on each CD."

"Documentation appears exactly as authored," DeCambra continued. "Users will find that our CD-ROM libraries retain the familiar features of the original paper documents which follow the manufacturer's table of contents."

The Mooney libraries employ a version of ATP's popular Navigator® interface, powerful research software known for its speed and ease of use. They share a common front end with ATP's Regulatory Libraries, so a subscriber to ATP's other CD libraries will find them easy to use.

The new libraries include the following navigation capabilities:

      • View Tables of Contents alongside the page displayed.
      • View two, three or more publications at the same time.
      • Print by page, Chapter-Section-Subject, Chapter-Section or entire Chapter.
