Subject Matter Expert and CTO, Mark Langley, will Present How to Unlock S1000D Content at the S1000D User Forum
MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, CANADA – September 6, 2018 – CaseBank Technologies – the aviation industry’s leading provider of troubleshooting, reliability and defect trend analysis solutions – today announced that Mark Langley, CaseBank’s Chief Technology Officer, will present CaseBank’s experience in transforming S1000D data modules for several clients and lessons learned that improved reuse, consistency and authoring speed of Fault Isolation Manuals. This will be presented at the 2018 S1000D User Forum. The presentation will be held in New Orleans, La. on Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
Langley’s session titled, “S1000D Style Guides for Effective Content Reuse in Fault Isolation Manuals,” will discuss the benefits of establishing a common, formal or ad hoc semantic style guide for troubleshooting. “By establishing a simple style guide prior to authoring, you can achieve consistency in traditional interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs), even with content from multiple suppliers or systems,” said Langley. “In turn, this can accelerate user adoption and dramatically improve the speed, efficiency, and accuracy of loading and repurposing that structured content in an intelligent reasoner,” he added.
The 2018 S1000D User Forum & ILS Specification Day is hosted by the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), and supported by the Aerospace and Defence Industries Association of Europe (ASD) and the ATA e-Business Program (ATA).
