Position Summary:

ATP CaseBank’s mission is to make flying safer and more reliable. We operate and manage the Aviation Hub (http://www.atp.com/solutions/aviation-hub) , the general aviation community’s primary resource for regulatory and maintenance publications. Our CaseBank division develops innovative software solutions for identifying and troubleshooting recurring defects on aircraft and other sophisticated equipment. Using case-based reasoning, natural language processing and machine learning, CaseBank’s systems accelerate and improve the accuracy of operations, service and support decisions for customers in commercial and military aviation.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Director of Compliance to define, implement, manage, and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS), assume responsibility for our Corporate Security / Controlled Goods program, and ensure that our business processes and transactions follow all relevant legal and internal guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and manage a QMS satisfying ATP CaseBank’s needs under ISO 9001, ISO 27001:2013, GPDR, ITAR, and other industry specific requirements or best practices.
  • Fulfill the obligations of the Designated Official as defined in Canada’s Defense Production Act, Controlled Goods Regulations, and Technical Data Regulations.
  • Fulfill the obligations of the Company Security Officer as defined in the CISD Industrial Security Manual.
  • Advise management and staff on matters related to Import/Export of Controlled Goods including application for Export Permits or Advisory Opinions where necessary.
  • Advise management on risks pertaining to QMS and Security Regulations.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and ATP CaseBank’s Management Team to ensure employees receive all necessary initial and refresher training to satisfy their obligations and responsibilities under the QMS and applicable Regulations
  • Provide guidance to company management and staff on interpretation of applicable Regulations, seeking clarification from Regulatory Authorities as needed.
  • Lead and direct CaseBank’s co-operation and response to governmental or customer audits of our compliance programs.
  • Oversee the activities of the Software Quality Assurance Manager and department.

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

  1. Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, not living abroad.
  2. Hold or successfully obtain a Government of Canada security clearance.
  3. Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent relevant experience, specifically in high technology quality management.
  4. 5+ years’ experience with Quality Management System development and implementation
  5. Advanced understanding of Quality Systems such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or ISO 27001.
  6. Previous experience with Canadian and/or US Export Control administration. If experience includes Controlled Goods and ITAR, this is a bonus.
  7. Experience leading teams with respect to software quality, regulatory compliance, internal audits, and configuration management principles.
  8. Law enforcement, Military or Government Security administration experience is a bonus.
  9. Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  10. Possess excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
