Position Summary

ATP CaseBank is currently seeking an IT Systems Engineer experienced in maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure, with an emphasis on finding improvements and automation. You will be responsible for engineering and maintaining servers, virtualization, networking, backups, business continuity and disaster recovery while working with a growing IT team that emphasizes agility and efficiency. You will work alongside other IT members to imagine and realize the communications and data processing of CaseBank Technologies IT Operation

Within 3 months you will:

  • Learn team culture and methods through our onboarding process
  • Meet with members of other teams to understand the different groups and what they do
  • Help to maintain and enhance our existent operation
  • Learn IT procedures and develop ideas to improve them
  • Enhance documentation of existent processes

Within 6 months you will:

  • Help to strengthen our internal and external network security
  • Enhance Documentation on existent infrastructure and work on disaster recovery and business continuity
  • Assist with the deployment and rollout of our SAS applications
  • Engage IT customers to manage changes to key services
  • Work on new projects together with Development, QA and IT teams

Job Summary

  • Provide configuration management and infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Build and Upgrades Windows servers
  • Design, Develop and maintain installation, configuration, operational procedures and documentation
  • Create and modify, deploy and monitor software and security patches
  • Configure switching and routing hardware
  • Implement firewall and content filtering configuration changes
  • Configure users and computer
  • Troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP issues
  • Troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server performance issues
  • Troubleshoot routing, switching, VPN and wireless issues
  • Investigate telephone system related issues, call flows, and telephone anomalies
  • Investigate firewall connectivity issues
  • Required to participate in the service desk after hours support rotation
  • Participate in other duties and projects as assigned
  • Participate in our customer application deployments
  • Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
  • Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies
  • Work close with Service Desk, QA, Development and DevOps teams to aid whenever is required
  • Improve and document Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Policies

Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in an Information Technology-related field from an accredited college
  • Minimum of five years of systems administration / engineering experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (or later) and Active Directory administration
  • ITIL / ITSM experience desired
  • Project Management knowledge a plus
  • Microsoft Active Directory/Server-related or Cisco routing/switching certifications desired
  • Experience with virtualization, Hyper-V and VMware
  • Experience with MS SQL server’s administration and optimization
  • Good working knowledge of Data Center technologies including: Windows Server 2003-2016, Hyper-V and Linux/Unix server
  • Office 365 Administration knowledge
  • Sophos, Firewall knowledge
  • Veeam Backup and Replication solution knowledge
  • Experience with SSL certificates and Internet domain management
  • Scripting and automation knowledge an advantage
  • Experience operating large, high-availability, redundant, transaction-based systems
  • Demonstrated proficiency troubleshooting complex technical issues
  • Knowledge of Azure and AWS cloud computing services a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills are required
