We’ve made a number of enhancements to Flight Logs to provide better information to crew members and make the flight logging process easier and more consistent. The result is a decrease in lag time between the completion of a flight and when the pilot submits their flight log, ultimately improving the visibility and accuracy of data for flight ops managers.
Flight log actions for trips and holds now appear in the All Activity tab in the mobile app, to match the activity feed on the Web.
The interface of the hold assignment view in the mobile app has been updated with several new features to enhance workflows.
The aircraft status row now displays additional information about the assigned aircraft, including:
Tapping this row will bring you to an updated aircraft status view. This includes the Maintenance and Work Completed tabs that were previously visible only during the sign out process. It also includes the new Flight History tab, showing the chronological flight log history for the aircraft.
The new sign in and sign out widget makes it clearer that an aircraft can be signed in and out multiple times per hold. The full history of sign ins and outs remains available in the All Activity tab.
When signing out the aircraft for a hold, the user will be prompted to start a new flight log to record the flight.
When a flight log is started for a hold, a new row labeled Flight in Progress now appears to provide quick access to the current flight log and to serve as a reminder that it has not yet been submitted.
The flight log will be created and displayed as Flight in Progress. The following fields are pre-filled:
When signing in the aircraft for a hold, the user will be prompted to view and complete the in-progress flight log if it has not already been submitted.
To improve flight log sorting consistency, logs without a flight date (out time) are now sorted by their creation date, with the most recently created flight logs displayed first.
Reminder any list view or report can be exported to an enhanced Excel spreadsheet that allows by default the ability to sort and filter by columns.
